Placing an Order
DFDesigns processes all of its orders through Google Checkout.
 
What is Google Checkout?
Google Checkout is one of the safest and most secure ways to purchase online. If you've used Google Checkout before, all you need to do is provide your Checkout username and password to buy from us.
What payment methods are accepted?
Google Checkout accepts major credit and debit cards, including VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. You simply enter your credit or debit card information when you first sign up for Google Checkout and then select your preferred payment type during the checkout process.
How do I sign up for Google Checkout?
If you're using Google Checkout for the first time, you only have to fill out a single page of information once to make your first purchase from DFDesigns. After that, you just need to enter your Google Checkout login to make any new purchase.

To sign up for Google Checkout for the first time, go to http://checkout.google.com. Fill out the required fields and click "create my account." Check your email account for a verification message from Google. When it arrives, open the message and click on the link provided. Then you can start shopping at DFDesigns!

When will my card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged when your order is processed. Following verification of your credit card, orders normally ship within three to four (3-4) business days. If there is a problem with your order we will contact you via email. If we are out of stock we will backorder the item automatically and notify you. If you do not wish to wait for the backordered item(s) you may tell us and we will issue a refund to your credit card account and cancel the backorder.
Will I be charged sales tax?
Applicable sales tax will be charged if your order is being shipped anywhere in the state of New York.
How will the charge appear on my credit card?
Whether you buy an item from the Pookies or the Laissez-Wear collections, the charge on your card will read "Google * DFDesigns"
What happens if part of my order is unavailable?
While we will endeavor to fulfill your order completely and promptly, every so often we may be caught with our Pookies down and run out of an item that you have requested. If that is the case, we will promptly notify you of the out-of-stock situation and tell you when we expect to ship the missing item(s.) We will send you the part of your order that is in stock and ship the remaining items, at our expense, when they arrive in our warehouse.

If you do not wish to wait for the items, please email us at backorders@dfdesignsllc.com and your credit/debit card will be credited for the full amount of the backordered products.

Remember if you order a coming soon item we will process the order and ship the item(s) as soon as they arrive. This is the best way to insure you get the pattern you want as most Pookies are produced in limited quantities per pattern. We will provide you with an approximate ship day within 5 days of your order. You may cancel your order at any time until it is shipped.

What are your Gift Giving Options?

Pookies and Laissez-Wear make great gifts! There's always a pair (or two!) of Pookies with a perfect design for everyone on your list. We are working on the best way to send gifts directly to the lucky recipient of your choice. In the meantime, of course, you can order your gifts to be sent to you.

Tracking an Order

How do I track my order?
You will receive an email from Google Checkout indicating when your order shipped and a tracking number with instructions. For more information on this and many other topics relating to your order, you can go to http://checkout.google.com.
I haven't received my package. How do I get a tracking number?
Your tracking number will appear on your Google Checkout page in addition to being emailed to you by Google Checkout.

Order Cancellations, Returns

How do I cancel my order?
Please verify via Google Checkout that your order has not shipped (once an order has shipped it cannot be cancelled it must be processed as a return. And we cannot issue an RA number for a return until your package has been delivered.

If your package has not shipped please send an email to cancel@dfdesignsllc.com and we will cancel your order.

If your package has shipped, please follow our regular return policy which is listed in a separate FAQ.

What is your Return Policy?
Your satisfaction is most important to us. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase from DFDesigns, simply return it and the original purchase price (not including shipping charges) will be refunded in full. Please email returns@dfdesignsllc.com to request a return authorization number. We can only accept returned packages that have a return authorization number written clearly on the outside of the package - packages without a return authorization number can not be accepted. Items must be returned to the return address provided with your RA number. DO NOT RETURN ANY ITEM TO THE WAREHOUSE PLEASE.
How do I return an item?
  1. Contact a customer service specialist at support@dfdesignsllc.com to obtain a Returns Authorization (RA) number. Please provide your order number and the reason for your return in this email.
  2. You will receive the RA number via email within 24 hours. Please note that an RA is required for all returns.
  3. Package the item(s) to be returned and print the RA number clearly and prominently on the outside of the package. There is no need to use the original packaging but please note that we cannot, under any circumstances, process a return without this number.
  4. Included in the email with your RA number will be the address to return your item to. Please use that address and only that address for returns. Please do not return your package to our warehouse or any address other than the one provided in the email with your RA number.
  5. When we receive the package, your credit card will be credited for the amount of the purchase. Please note that we do not refund any shipping and handling charges.

  

Shipping

When will my order ship?

DFDesigns curently uses Amazon to warehouse our products and ship our customer orders. Shipping times and methods are subject to our arrangement with Amazon.

Generally, most items ship (leave the warehouse) within 2 business days, unless otherwise noted. Orders placed on a Friday may not ship until the following Monday or the next normal business day.

Note: Choosing a faster shipping method (details below) only reduces the time an order takes to arrive at the shipping address AFTER the order leaves the warehouse. It DOES NOT reduce the time to process and package your order to ship. Amazon already does that as fast as it possibly can.

In the event that an item you order is not currently in stock, we will notify you via email and you will have the opportunity to cancel your order. If you do not cancel the order, we will order your items and fulfill your order as soon as we are able.

Why did my order arrive in a package from Amazon.com?

DFDesigns proudly uses Amazon as our warehouse and fulfillment center. Amazon staff carefully pack and ship your DFDesigns order in an Amazon package in the usual high-quality Amazon manner.

How will my order be shipped?

DFDesigns proudly uses Amazon as our warehouse and fulfillment center. Your order will be carefully packaged and shipped by Amazon staff in an Amazon box in the usual high quality Amazon manner.

What shipping options do you offer?

Standard shipping: Orders normally ship within 2 business days and typically take 2-3 days to be delivered within the continental United States, depending upon where you live. If there is a problem with your order we will let you know via email. Actual delivery times are subject to operations of the carrier, you will receive a tracking number when your order is shipped. Remember during holiday seasons carriers experiences a high volume of shipments and shipments may be delayed.

Expedited and Priority shipping (2nd Day & Next Day): are available at an applicable up charge. Select the shipping options at checkout and the applicable charges will appear.

How do I get free shipping? While we don't offer free shipping at this time, we do cap the cost of delivery at two items for a maximum (standard delivery) charge of $10.95. So if you're on the fence about that third pair of Pookies or thinking about ordering another color of the terrific Laissez-Wear crew shirt, go ahead, as after the first two items, all additional items ship at no additional charge. As the old saying goes, the more you buy, the more you save.

Do you ship outside of the United States?
At this time, we are only shipping within the U.S. We will be adding shipments to Canada and other destinations as soon as we are able. If you simply can't wait, (and we certainly understand that!) please send an email to support@dfdesignsllc.com, and include "international" in the subject line. We will try to work with you individually via email to process your DFDesigns order while we are working to implement direct foreign shipping on our web site.
Will I be charged sales tax?

Privacy and Conditions of Use

What steps do you take to protect my privacy?
At DFDesigns we want to protect your information and hence, your privacy, as if it were our own. That is one of the reasons we use Google Checkout. Among the benefits of Google Checkout is the fact that you never provide any of your credit/debit card information to DFDesigns. The information is managed and stored by Google. Are Pookies and Laissez-Wear items available at retail?
At present, Pookies and Laissez-Wear items are only available on the web, either at Amazon (search "Pookies" or "Laissez-Wear") or on our own websites. Plans are afoot to have some "pop up" retail locations in New York City this summer
How do I know what size item to order?
Conveniently located on every Pookies and Laissez-Wear product page, a "Sizing & Fabric Facts" button that delivers customized information for our products.
How can I tell authentic Pookies and Laissez-Wear products from knockoffs?
Thank you for asking! All authentic Pookies and Laissez-Wear products share the following:

They can only be purchased directly from this website or at the store, P'Town Pookies' in Provincetown, Mass., which is permitted to carry a limited selection of products.

Authentic Pookies carry the Pookies "P" Flag sewn just below the right pocket.
  Authentic Laissez-Wear products have, in addition to their unique style, design, and quality craftsmanship, the exclusive right to carry the official Laissez-Wear label.
